About Shriver Job Corps Center
The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, various Computer Sciences, Carpentry, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services.
Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.
Position Summary
Ensures that food, supplies and equipment are available as needed and stored properly when not in use. Responsible for assisting in the preparation of food for meals. Provides kitchen clean-up to facilitate sanitizing of all food service areas.
Responsibilities
- Three meal periods; breakfast, lunch, dinner
- Transfers food, supplies and equipment between storage areas and kitchen and cafeteria
- Wash, peel, prepare, fruit and vegetables as necessary
- Scrapes, washes and stores dishes and utensils
- Clears, cleans and sanitizes kitchen, cafeteria and food storage area
- Provides superior customer service at all time

**McNamara O’Hare Service Contract Act (SCA) workers receive premiums each paycheck to be used toward Health, Dental and Vision insurance premiums. If covered by spousal or parental insurance plan the premiums are deposited into a retirement plan
Experience and Education
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in food services preferred
