About Shriver Job Corps Center
The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, Amazon Web Services, Carpentry, CNA, Computer Technician A+, Computer Technician Network+, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services.
Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.
Position Summary
The Property Manager is responsible for the overall care, custody and control of all Center property, to be accomplished through a combination of coordinating through staff designated as property custodians, establishing property acquisition and excess procedures, and implementing effective security and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee authorized staff and activities of the Center’s property/logistics functional area
- Manages and controls Center’s accountable property program
- Works directly with federal Regional Property Officer in the management of non-expendable property from receiving of new property to the disposition of unusable or no longer needed property.
- Ensures the effective control of ordering, warehousing and distribution of expendable property
- Managers the receiving of all goods arriving on Center, ensures the quality and integrity of all related paperwork.
- Coordinates receiving activities with the Purchasing Department and other Center functional areas.
- Managers and conducts periodic physical inventory of all Center property and reconciles actual inventory against property records
- Utilizes and manages the government excess property acquisition program
