JOB TITLE: Sr. Brand Marketing Manager
EMPLOYER: Topo Designs- Denver, CO (hybrid in office 2x/week)
REPORTS TO: VP of Marketing

 


SUMMARY:
The Sr Brand Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in executing integrated brand strategies to drive business growth and enhance brand equity. This position manages brand positioning,  executes on activation strategies, and partners with product on commercialization plans and innovation, while ensuring seamless go-to-market execution. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, a strong understanding of consumer insights, cross-functional leadership, and a passion for delivering results.

SALARY RANGE: $90,000- $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, with additional fringe benefits valued at $5,000-8,000.

This is an on-site position located in Denver.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, market share growth, profitability, and brand strength
  • Establish and sustain a clear, differentiated brand positioning and ensure consistent visual and verbal identity across all channels.
  • Partner with VP of Marketing on the annual brand planning process, including product, packaging, pricing, promotions, and communication priorities.

Consumer Insights and Analytics

  • Translate data into actionable insights to inform brand strategies and initiatives.
  • Leverage consumer and market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Analyze key marketing metrics to measure success and refine strategies as needed.

Innovation and Go-to-Market Execution

  • Champion consumer-driven innovation rooted in market trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Partner with the Product Team by sharing product, category, customer  and competitive insights at the start of the development process, and oversee new product launch messaging and strategy.
  • Partner with merchandising team on retrospective analyses and go-forward recommendations.

Brand Communication and Activation

  • Execute the go-to-market process across the business for brand campaigns, product launches, and sale events, working closely with cross-functional partners to drive success and business growth across each area of the business
  • Develop communication plans and creative briefs for internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Retail, Sales, Growth and Marketing teams to create omnichannel brand experiences.
  • Identify new opportunities to uniquely show up in the market, working with VPs to create actionable & measurable strategies
  • Guide the development of high-quality creative assets across the consumer journey that are on-brand and align with channel best practices, overseeing the calendaring and briefing process for all sales & digital marketing channels.

Budget Management

  • Mine market data and shopper insights to recommend pricing strategies that align with brand positioning and margin goals.
  • Partner with ecommerce merchandiser and wholesale team on promotional strategies to enhance profitability and competitive advantage.

Team Collaboration and Leadership

  • Manage relationships with external agencies and creative partners to deliver high-impact campaigns.
  • Foster collaboration across internal teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
  • Mentor and guide team members, cultivating a culture of creativity and accountability.

  • 7+ of brand marketing experience at a fast-growing consumer brand
  • Proven experience in brand or product marketing, integrated communications, and media planning. Emphasis on DTC digital marketing experience and expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in consumer goods or outdoor industries.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing external agency relationships.
  • Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and measure campaign performance.
