Description

The Senior Relationship Banker will provide management support in daily supervision and leadership of branch staff. The role will be responsible for building and deepening consumer and small business relationships by providing exceptional customer service and recommending appropriate customer solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build long-term relationships with customers and work to understand their financial needs and consultatively address by making appropriate product and service recommendations or referring them to a financial partner.
  • Clearly explain product and service benefits, requirements, changes, and other related product information to customers.
  • Support branch operations, manage customer relationships, and efficiently process banking transactions to minimize errors and fraud, including account opening and closing.
  • Works collaboratively with bank partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.
  • Oversee every aspect of branch operations and provide leadership for branch employees.
  • Complete scheduling, staffing mix, and time reporting for the branch to ensure adequate coverage throughout the business day.
  • Lead daily branch huddles to ensure staff engagement with operational or goal-related updates.
  • Engage in proactive customer acquisition activities such as scheduling and conducting self-generated appointments, attending on-sites, and completing customer outreach by phone.
  • Demonstrate empathy and proactively resolve customer concerns in a timely, professional, and positive manner, escalating issues, as needed.

Preferred Education, Experience, Technical Knowledge, and Skills:

  • 2+ years of retail banking experience is preferred
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Some management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and any banking software used in the branch.
  • Training and mentoring skills
  • Customer-focused service and sales skills
  • Overall knowledge of bank operations
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures
