Description

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Attorney to join our Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN). The Attorney will represent the legal interest of PFSN on a daily basis; drafting motions and complaints; advising PFSN staff on legal issues regarding PFSN; training new workers; tracking cases; organizing and preparing docket system; facilitating permanency planning meetings.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure that PFSN has legal representation in all post-dispositional cases, and pre-disposition case upon request.
  • Assist new case workers with court procedure and court presentation.
  • Assess and respond to difficult legal situations that may arise on the juvenile floor service.
  • Track service by reviewing court files or checking court computer to determine whether service is complete prior to court date.
  • Provide regular legal training to PFSN staff.
  • Facilitate permanency planning meetings.

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • You have a juris doctorate.  
  • You have three years of experience within Juvenile Law.
  • You are certified by the bar association.
  • You have an active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
