The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program Health Educator assists in providing a wide range of culturally competent services to pregnant individuals from conception through 60 days postpartum. In addition to standard obstetric services, patients receive enhanced services in the areas of psychosocial, health education, and nutrition.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish highly preferred
- Knowledge in public health programs for Women's Health / OBGYN services highly preferred
- Knowledge in pregnancy care preferred (conception to post-partum)
POSITION: Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (C.P.S.P.) Health Educator I
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will work under the direct supervision of the Clinic Administrator. Will be responsible for ongoing prenatal/ postpartum health education services on a one-on-one basis or in groups. The CPSP will facilitate access for women to existing medical/clinical services, their children, and their families. The CPSP Worker will participate in educational and awareness campaigns to develop collaborative support and referral for the Clinic. S/he will develop program reports, narrative activity descriptions, reviews and other reports for evaluating and analyzing program activities. May assist in writing proposals and generating quarterly reports to management and funding sources. Will perform other related duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator.
For a Lead CPSP, S/he will be responsible for the supervision of other CPSPs.
