Description

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in the daily operations of the HR department. Their responsibilities include onboarding, managing benefits, handling leave of absences, addressing employee relations, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with company policies.  

Qualifications

  • Lead or support recruitment efforts by identifying suitable candidates, connecting them with hiring managers, conducting initial interviews, checking references, issuing job offers. 
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. 

  • Efficiently onboard new employees. 

  • Conduct background checks and follow up with candidates throughout the onboarding process.  

  • Conduct and facilitate the off-boarding process and conduct exit interviews.  

  • Update and maintain employee information in Paycom HRIS system. 
  • Manages timekeeping system and assists with payroll.  

  • Ensures that all timecard entries are accurate. 

  • Assists in handling employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment. 

  • Participate in disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans/management and career progression plan. 

  • Implements employee recognition and engagement programs. 

  • Supporting employee growth by facilitating training and development programs. 

  • Conduct 60-day check-ins with all new hires.  

  • Implements HR policies, procedures, and related technology projects.
  • Managing employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. 

  • Oversee employe benefits, open enrollment, and LOA administration.  

  • Assist with completing employment verifications, EDD Claims and garnishments.   

  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. 

  • Handling legal matters related to employment, such as documentation and record-keeping. 

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance and company culture.
