Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and technical drawings. Experience with Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is required.
- Self-motivated, analytical, good time management, detail oriented and thorough.
- Ability to work well with other people. Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, facilitation, listening, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
- Working knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers and microscopes.
- Able to use the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
- Experience assisting with process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) is a plus.
- Knowledge/application of Lean/Six Sigma principles is a plus.
Experience/Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. AS/AA degree in a technical field is a plus.
- 2-4 years working in an electronic manufacturing environment especially in a contract manufacturing.
- 2-4 years of previous quality inspector experience.
- IPC 600 and 610 experience required.
- Experience with IPC J-STD-001 is a plus
- Experience with IPC 620 is a plus
- Experience with medical devices and/or ISO 13485 is a plus.
- Working experience with Smartscope inspection equipment is a plus
Working experience with AOI benchtop equipment is a plus
