Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude.
- Works well with others and proactively contributes to group objectives.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, schematics, work instructions and equipment manuals.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
- Have simple machinist skills, at a minimum.
- Experience with the use of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Experience with the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment/machines with computer interfaces.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple assigned tasks and priorities.
- Strong problem solving skills, detail oriented and thorough.
- Strong data-based decision making skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize assigned tasks according to company goals and objectives.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management/personnel, be a team player and be able to build rapport/credibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Knowledge of CMMS software applications is a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Apprenticeship, completion of a technical school program, Associates degree or technical certificate in maintenance is a plus.
- 4+ years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience, is preferred.
- 4+ years technical experience in the electronics, medical device, automotive or aerospace manufacturing industries is a plus.
