Packer Freight is scouting for a dynamic Independent Sales Manager who’s got the hustle, the passion, the grit, and the determination to redefine the freight game. We’re looking for a go-getter, a deal-maker, and a relationship-builder. Someone who is ready to bridge the game between shippers and carriers ensuring every shipment is a success story. The position will be responsible for booking orders with shippers, finding coverage for orders, negotiating rates, and solving problems quickly in order to provide an excellent experience for all parties.

Job Qualifications/Responsibilities

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or experience in transportation/logistics 
  • Has an established book of customer accounts
  • Familiarity with transportation modes, terminologies, and regulations
  • Sales prowess, with a knack for nurturing relationships and expanding customer bases
  • Stellar communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in common computer software including MS Office

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of Packer Freight from Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call duties after hours.
  • Build and nurture relationships with our esteemed customers and carriers.
  • Negotiate like a pro.
  • Exceed volume, margin, and revenue goals because average is just not your style.
  • Ensure an excellent experience for all parties.
  • Hunt for new sales opportunities, cold call like a champ, and maintain a profitable book of consistent business.
