ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Credentialing
- Credential providers license through various databases
- Verify provider:
- Prior malpractice
- Disciplinary actions
- Records with Drug Enforcement Administration
- Provider has prescriptive authority for controlled dangerous substances
- Quality assurance
Enrollment

- Assist new providers in enrollment and credentialing in all applicable insurance carriers
- Re-credential current providers and ensure information is active and up to date
- Follow up with providers and insurance carriers on a weekly basis
- Research Medicare enrollments for new state, HMO
- Maintain various databases and spreadsheets
- Answer questions and concerns from management, providers, billing staff and outside personnel
- Maintain professional correspondence with all employees, and outside personnel
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in Healthcare Industry
- Prior Credentialing/Enrollment experience preferred
