Essential Functions

  • Manage A/R workload and follow up with Governmental and Commercial payers in an appropriate time frame
  • File secondary claims online
  • Research and appeal denied claims
  • Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist patients with claim questions and account balances
  • Update insurance and demographics
  • Adhere to production and quality goals
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management

Required Education and Experience

 

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a Medical Billing role
  • General knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
