Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Manager with a background as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support and lead our regional clinical team. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on overseeing behavioral health services and personally delivering high-quality patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to the regional behavioral health team, including psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management.
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and treatment protocols based on evidence-based practices and patient needs.
  • Monitor program outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Facilitate training sessions and continuing education opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Implement strategies to enhance patient care experiences and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, referral sources, and other healthcare providers.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and executive leadership, advocating for resources and support as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the behavioral health team and across departments.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Active and unrestricted PMHNP license (multiple states preferred)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of healthcare economics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment

 

Additional Information:

 

  • Work Schedule: Three days on-site clinical care, two days operational and clinical support to regional providers
