Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Psychologist, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team at Curana Health. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services to residents in a long term care setting, addressing their emotional, psychological, and social needs. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for the residents we serve through individualized therapeutic support and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate residents’ mental health, emotional well-being, and social functioning.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide individual therapy to address a range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment disorders, and cognitive impairments. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the geriatric population.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and key facility staff members, to ensure integrated and thorough care for residents.
- Respond to and manage emotional and psychological crises as they arise, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, ethical guidelines, and facility policies in all aspects of care and documentation.
- Ability to navigate multiple electronic medical records
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure: Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Psychologist, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Experience: Previous experience in a mental health role, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting. Experience working with elderly populations and understanding age-related mental health issues is highly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with residents and families; strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
