Reports To: 2nd Shift Lamination Supervisor - Evan Cooper

 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Compensation: Hourly

 

Summary

 

The primary purpose of this position is to operate hand tools that shape Structural Insulated Panels following blueprint specifications as the finishing process prior to wrapping and shipment. This position is responsible for final shaping and finishing of Structural Insulated Panels by operating hand tools and following blue print specifications. It also includes the installing of lumber in panels and putting together lumber bundles.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Fabrication of SIPs utilizing various hand tools
  2. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  3. Maintain quality standards
  4. Problem solving in tough situations
  5. Operate Hi-lo and overhead cranes
  6. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

 

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Basic construction skills
  3. Able to read blue prints
  4. Able to read measurement tools
  5. Wood working/carpentry experience


Travel

 

This position requires minimal to no travel

 

Computer Skills

 

  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

 

Other Requirements

 

  1. Basic computer and math skills
  2. Able to lift 75 lbs.
  3. Skilled in using power and hand tools
  4. Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  5. Able to read and interpret blueprints and other written documents
  6. Able to stand, reach outward and above, bending frequently and walking
