Position Profile
Sustaining Engineer will work with the Sustaining Engineering Manager in the design and development of improvements to existing product designs. As a Sustaining Engineer at BEGA, the Sustaining Engineer must always exhibit BEGAs core values; everything must be done with Quality as the driving force.
What you'll do
- Create 3D assembly drawings of modified and or improved designs.
- Creates 2D drawings of new component parts, work with purchasing to source and define those components.
- Enter new part numbers, Bill of Materials, and issue Engineering change orders.
- Ensure project completion from initial concept through final production.
- Provide production support of all lighting products.
- Work closely with all internal and external resources to define the design specifications, complete project details, and obtain needed components.
- Working with compliance personnel, achieve UL / CSA certification of product designs.
- Make mechanical and electrical design improvements to existing product designs.
- Lead, plan, and assist in mechanical, electrical, thermal and rain/water leak validation testing.
