Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) and related tasks to assure Quality in everything we do.

Quality works closely with our production, engineering, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams to evaluate products, evaluate suppliers, assess processes, and provide opportunities for improvements. Quality is strategically placed to be the focal point of suppliers and customers and is fundamental to BEGA’s strategic objective of delivering world-class service, processes, and products across.

Qualifications

• Ability to act as a change agent and influence, both internal and external functional areas, and suppliers.
• Ability to integrate and apply solutions for quality performance and continual improvement, both breakthrough and systematic throughout the organization
• Experience managing and evaluating performance both for existing as well as new suppliers.
• Manages relationships with suppliers with a focus on the improvement of product quality.
• Performs audits to ensure compliance with the quality standards of their organization and regulatory standards.

• Ability to develop and implement quality controls and process improvement through first-time quality (FTQ) and lean/Six Sigma initiatives
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods to ensure appropriate application and analysis of data
• Strong time management, problem-solving, data analysis, and project management skills
• Practical and results-oriented
• Greenbelt certification required, Blackbelt preferred
• Bachelor of Science in management or a technical field required
• 7 + years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• Business travel up to 20% between multiple BEGA campuses
