JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Regular and predictable attendance;
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervision, co-workers, residents and guests;
- Ability to follow established policies and directives;
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and must be able to understand and follow all safety rules.

Use of firearms or force is outside the line and scope of the job duties of a Courtesy Officer. If a situation occurs at the Community that requires use of firearms or force, and the Courtesy Officer takes action, it is understood and acknowledged that the Courtesy Officer is no longer working as an employee of the Community, but under his/her independent authority as a sworn office of the law, and employed by their local law enforcement entity.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be a sworn law enforcement officer currently employed by a local law enforcement agency.
Licenses/Certificates:
Valid driver’s license along with good driving record with auto insurance required.
PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES
Ability to interpret, evaluate and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions to others accurately and quickly, including answering phones, attending meetings, written correspondence or other forms of communication. Ability to communicate effectively (expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken or written word). This skill/ability is important in work activities in which workers must impart or receive detailed information through oral or written communication.
