 Job Summary

This is advanced level professional administrative work in managing and coordinating a variety of administrative support functions for multiple executive personnel that currently includes JAA’s CCO, COO, and VP of Regulatory Compliance who are tasked with leading and directing 14 cost center accounts that consist of four (4) airports and seven (7) departments. This position works closely with executive leaders, helping to execute the organization’s operational and strategic initiatives. The work requires an extensive knowledge of administrative principles, data analysis, methods, practices and procedures which is gained through a combination of education, training, and extensive experience. Contact with others requires skills in understanding and influencing people, with courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in managing JAA stakeholder relationships.  The work is performed following defined administrative, procurement, human resource, travel, financial and related policies, and involves a variety of situations which require the frequent use of judgment in the search for solutions and/or appropriate applications. The work is: (i) performed in an office environment; (ii) requires skilled computer operations and other standard office equipment; (iii) routinely involves self-management under limited supervision; (iv) subject to company policies and standard practices; and (v) reviewed usually after-the-fact for quality, effectiveness, timeliness and adherence to policies and practices. This senior level position is differentiated from the lower level based on the variety and scope of administrative responsibilities assigned, statistical methods required to analyze data and budgetary concerns, and the extensive knowledge required to oversee and coordinate these activities.

Required Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or its equivalent and
  • Seven (7) years of continuous experience providing senior level administrative support
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience of providing high level executive support at either the C-Suite or Vice President level of an organization
  • Three (3) years of experience can substituted, if the candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Public Administration. However, four (4) years of progressive administrative support in a business environment is still required.
  • Public Sector experience 
  • Budgeting experience
  • Experience using Oracle software
  • Experience coordinating corporate travel

Licenses & Certifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
  • Notary Public license (preferred) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date

Physical Demands

The physical demands consist of moving from one work location to another, sitting or standing at a work station for extended periods of time and may involve lifting objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
