Description

A Talent Development specialist develops, implements, and administers training programs that evaluate, measure, and improve team member performance. A Talent Development Specialist designs training strategies and processes that measure outcomes for new hires, identify areas for improvement, and align new hires to organizational goals. They also Identify the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve performance improvements. Lastly, a Talent Development Specialist encourages culture and foster our mission by implementing tools, training, and communication. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Track and compile collected data for training reports 

  • Communicate training needs and online resources 

  • Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials 

  • Test and review created training materials 

  • Instruct team members through training and onboarding 

  • Conduct training through new materials 

  • Review employee performance and learning 

  • Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment

Preferred Qualities: 

  • Bilingual 

  • Retail or customer-facing sales experience 

  • Two (2) years' previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position 

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and Microsoft Teams 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects 

  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules 

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently 

  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills 

  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Other movements may include climbing ladders, balancing on ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and fine handling of display materials and merchandise. Dexterity is required. 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include being able to work with small parts in mobile phones and being able to look at a computer screen for prolonged periods of time. These requirements can be met by the individual’s use of eyeglasses or contacts.
