Position Objective

In collaboration with the Director of Family Ministries, the Director of Women’s Conferences gives oversight and leadership to MHA women’s conferences in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.  

General Qualifications

A mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith. Fully in accord with Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs. Committed to living these out personally and instilling them in the organization. Of strong moral character and integrity.

Key Job Accountabilities
    
•    Provide leadership to MHA’s women’s retreats. 
•    Serve as the lead programmer for at least three annual women’s retreats: two larger women’s retreats and at least one smaller reflective retreat. You will plan the theme and secure all faculty needed for each event in order that the vision and mission of each retreat will be accomplished.
•    Work closely with the Family Ministries Coordinator to plan and organize details for retreats. 
•    Work with the Family Ministries Director to help program Mount Hermon’s Marriage Retreat(s) annually. 
•    Network with local churches and ministry leaders to serve and collaborate with and serve the local church 
•    Promote the women’s conferences to churches and leaders through various means including phone calls, meetings, and other avenues to continue to grow the ministry of MHA.  
•    Collaborate with other MHA departments to create the best experience for our guest and serve our vision and mission. 
•    Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

•    Minimum College degree  

Work Experience

•    Past women’s ministries leadership is required. 
•    Conference and event planning is required. 
•    History of working with or in a local church is desired

•    Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
•    Proven organizational skills and ability to lead others
•    Strong verbal communication skills.
•    Must be a self-starter with an ability to see things through to completion.
•    Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a professional manner.

Physical Demands

•    The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. 
•    Position requires walking, and climbing up/down stairs and ladders. Additional requirements include sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, pushing and pulling, hearing, and grasping.
•    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. is required.

Additional Requirements/Skills

•    Ability to travel throughout the year.
•    Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements. 
•    Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
•    Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
