Position Objective:
The KC Head Cook position is responsible for directing kitchen operations at the assigned camp, including preparing, serving and storing food as directed by the Food Service Administrator in a safe and efficient manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values
General Qualifications:
The Kidder Creek (“KC”) Cook is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Complete menu as provided and instructed by the Food Service Administrator.
- Pull, prepare, serve and store food in accordance with food handling procedures to ensure safe, nutritious meals for camps’ enjoyment and to prevent food spoilage and/or foodborne illness.
- Maintain accurate records of refrigerators’ and freezers’ temperatures to ensure compliance with food service specifications.
- Conduct inventory as needed by the Food Service Administrator.
- Clean ovens, grills and ventilation hood as required by Food Service Administrator to maintain sanitary standards.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
