Position Objective:
RWC Lifeguards provide instruction, supervision, and ensure the safety and well-being of all campers and staff involved in all water-based activities, at MHA and off site, in a professional and productive manner.
General Qualifications:
The Redwood Camp (“RWC”) Lifeguard is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Act as a first responder in events of injury.
- Provide a safe environment (physically, mentally, and emotionally) for guests to enjoy aquatic activities.
- Uphold and enforce pool rules to ensure safety of all using the pool.
- Assist Lifeguard Lead and other lifeguards with daily, weekly, and monthly pool maintenance.
- Maintain, document and report any damaged operating equipment and facilities.
- Assist and participate in other areas of camp needs and program when lifeguard duties are finished.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
