Position Objective:
The Family Camp High School Assistant Lead oversees and implements all High School program elements under the leadership of the Family Camp High School Lead and in conjunction with them they will equip the Family Camp High School staff with the support and tools to implement a holistic, excellent, and developmentally appropriate program that leads high school students one step closer to Jesus, in a manner consistent with Mount Hermon’s mission, vision, and values.
General Qualifications:
The Family Camp High School Assistant Lead is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships, and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon’s mission, vision, and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating, and leading Mount Hermon’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Work as a team with the Family Camp High School Lead to explore, create, and coordinate program development and implementation for junior high and high school campers in attendance at Family Camp. Disciple, train, and empower staff to disciple students; helping them encounter God and connect to others.
- Develop a warm and welcoming atmosphere for students and staff
- Ensure campers’ emotional and physical safety/well-being.
- Coordinate and implement all set up and tear down of program elements.
- Share in the responsibilities of keeping youth areas clean and orderly.
- Implement and document program inventory and evaluation.
- Attend a weekly meeting with the Family Ministries Youth Intern and the Leadership Team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Family Ministries Youth Intern.
