Position Objective:

Join the dynamic team at Mount Hermon Christian Camp and Conference Center this summer! We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to assist in our food service operations, ensuring guests receive a remarkable dining experience that aligns with our Christian values and mission.

General Qualifications:

The Food Service Worker is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) Christian mission, vision, beliefs, culture code and standards of conduct. All staff are expected to join gatherings which include prayer, worship, and Bible-centered teaching. 

 

Key Job Accountabilities:           

  • Assist in all kitchen operations including cleaning and washing dishes, food prep, organizing storage rooms, and general assistance where needed.
  • Work effectively with fellow food service team members, fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation.
  • Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • High school graduate.
  • Food Handler’s Card.

Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred, but not required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A positive attitude and a heart for service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to adhere to the camp’s Christian principles and values.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s mission, vision, culture code and standards of conduct.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
