Education/Certifications/Licenses:
* College graduate.
* Must be CPR/First Aid certified.
* Must be 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record due to MH driver policy.
Work Experience:
* Experience working with college age students in ministry settings.
* Must have experience in leadership roles (while working with college age students and young adults).
* Prior camp counseling experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Must possess leadership skills and emotional and spiritual maturity.
* Ability to articulate the Gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
* Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.
* Must be creative and detail oriented, with the ability to follow through with projects.
* Must be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations.
* Ability to engage in active listening.
* Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.
* A heart to serve whenever needed.
* Ability to lead and teach with patience and clear instruction.
* Ability to engage with Young Adults and invite them into the program.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires seeing, hearing, talking, sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and hiking.
Additional Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
* Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s mission, vision, values, and commitment statements.
* Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
* Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
