Job Title: Audio Visual Technician
Position Objective:
The A/V Technician is responsible for overseeing the multimedia and graphical presentation aspects of auditorium services and provides quality audio/visual services to MHA sponsored and guest conference events. Key duties involve assisting speakers and bands to provide the technical necessities to prepare and run a program smoothly for guests and provides general hospitality to conferees in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.
General Qualifications:
The A/V Technician is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs, and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Gather, import, organize, edit, and format graphical media to include worship song lyrics, speaker presentations, videos, and announcement slides using Renewed Vision ProPresenter 7, Apple Keynote, and Microsoft Powerpoint.
- Basic operation of video switching equipment to control and optimize content display.
- Operate multimedia cue software for audio/video/lighting cues during sessions.
- Interface with musicians and speakers to meet their media needs using both audience and stage displays.
- Audio/Visual equipment setup for various meeting spaces
- Work with Audio Visual Services Manager to implement new hardware and software
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee part time and seasonal employees during setup and service times
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
Work Experience:
- Experience working with media programs such as ProPresenter 7, Power Point, Keynote, and Qlab preferred.
- Experience mixing in live sound environments preferred
- Experience working with worship bands preferred
- Customer service and client oriented work experience preferred.

- Must be a self-starter with ability to see projects and tasks through to completion.
- Must be prepared and comfortable with a large degree of repetitious tasks.
- Must exhibit great interpersonal skills with people of all ages and personality types.
- Must be observant and attentive.
- Must be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations.
- Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers, as well as camp guidelines and principles.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 40 lbs. of equipment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must agree to and comply with MHA’s employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and personal vehicles for business purposes.
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
