JOB SUMMARY

We are recruiting for a Community Relations Specialist to support Galardi Group Inc. the parent firm of the Quick Service Restaurant Brands Wienerschnitzel, Hamburger Stand, and Tastee Freez.

We are looking for a Community Relations Specialist will plan, develop, implement, and analyze community relations campaigns, marketing efforts, and related events. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors in the execution of all development activities required to community relations/philanthropy and deliver programs within the community.
  • In collaboration with Chief Executive Officer and Board, develop and implement a strategic plan for single and multi-year resource development efforts:
  • Research and analyze corporate, individual and foundation base and recommend strategies; and verify that events, sponsorship with Director of Human Resources.
  • Prepare and seek approval for corporate giving proposals to support approved community relations/philanthropy events, using current cultivation and solicitation materials;
  • Oversee and execute planning of logistics for special events, including obtaining gifts and preparing related printed materials and publications;
  • Design and implement direct mail correspondence; and
  • Coordinate and inform PR all community relations/philanthropy events for media coverage.
  • Provide support for various community relations/philanthropy events approved by the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Ensure evaluation of development activities and identify opportunities to improve results.
  • Board Development
  • Identify, recruit and train volunteers and employees to participate in community relations/philanthropy events and other resource development activities.
  • Encourage and support board committees responsible for planning and implementing development activities.
  • Resource Management
  • Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the community relations/philanthropy annual budget, controlling expenditures within budget and maintaining records in accordance with standards.
  • Ensure productive and effective performance by volunteers.
  • Partnership Development
  • Develop strategic alliances with community leaders and local officials. Collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, families, and community organizations.
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Increase visibility of Club development activities and maintain the public trust.
  • Conduct interviews with local media outlets at community relations/philanthropy events, representing the brand in a professional manner.
  • Maintain Causecast online giving platform.
  • Assist and support employees with online giving platform.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years’ nonprofit experience, specifically in corporate community relations and philanthropy. 
  • Considerable knowledge of corporate philanthropy techniques and sourcing volunteering opportunities for nonprofits.
  • Knowledge of: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures and of the principles and practices of nonprofits, donations and corporate philanthropy services preferred.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate community relations/philanthropy events.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and flexible.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a prolong period.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel.
