Where you fit in
The Technical Production Assistant is a central services position that plays a key role in the success of services and events at The Crossing. This person will work with the Production and Programming teams to effectively communicate the mission, vision and values of The Crossing through the various environments and channels we use to help people discover Jesus and the journey.
What you’ll be doing
Campus:
- Oversees Production at a Crossing campus, including:
- Producing Services 2+ Times/month
- Scheduling Volunteers for all services and events at Highlands
- Facilitating with the Campus Pastor and Staff to ensure gear and equipment are working correctly.
- Ensure all programming is completed each week
- Gather information and relay it to the Production Director and Production Team for input on creative elements and events
- Ensure service flow is accurate in Planning Center
- Staff coverage for rehearsals
- Work closely with the Volunteer Production Specialist to ensure the following for Midtown Volunteers:
- Effectively train volunteers for the roles they are serving in
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteers to assist with Production
- Proactively support and care for the volunteers
- Create connection environments for the volunteers
Specialized Production Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Production Director on special projects and set builds.
- Responsible for assigned projects, ensuring they are getting accomplished promptly
- Assist set-ups for services and events.
- Run production positions for Services and Events as assigned.Run production positions for Services and Events as assigned.
General
- Understand basic job-related concepts including, but not limited to; electrical safety, soundboards, cabling, circuits, music, lighting and video equipment
- Ability to independently run technology needs for basic events including, but not limited to; music equipment for an acoustic 5-8 input worship set, set lights, use of ProPresenter
- Help with Load in and Load out for special events including but not limited to: parking lot services, Christmas tree lightings and overflow environments.
- Shoot and edit pre-produced video segments using the broadcast system as needed.
- Learn to run FOH Audio for a full band environment, understand Dante and patching
- Assist with stage design, setup and other related projects
- Recruit, train and empower volunteers to operate production equipment for Sunday services and ministry events including; Students, Celebrate Recovery, Young Adults, Groups and others as needed
- Ensure service and program execution goes off without a hitch
- Maintains and stores equipment and assists with studio and set maintenance
- Help create and foster an environment of collaboration with peers to ensure the delivery of high quality events and experiences
- Keep safely in all projects as the highest priority
- Proactively stay current and knowledgeable of existing and emerging production trends and technologies
- Assist with funerals, weddings and other events as needed
- Purchase items for ministry as needed
- Actively use Slack, email, Asana and Planning Center
- Run errands as needed
- Other related duties as needed
