Description

Assist with Recruitment Process
Assist with the overall recruitment and hiring process of potential new hires. Communicate with site liaisons and site leads to stay atop of current and future hiring needs. Search for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases, networking, internet resources, and employee referrals. Recruit applicants for open positions by attending job fairs with college or university campus representatives. Answer emails and phone calls from prospective candidates (Performs approximately 40% of the day)


Clerical and Department Administrative Duties
Review employment applications, including supplemental documentation, of qualified applicants in company ATS (Paycom). Assign qualified candidates to liaisons for an interview. Routinely check that personnel documentation filing and recordkeeping are being maintained according to company standards. (Performs approximately 50% of day)


Professional Development
Occasionally research and maintain knowledge of current pre-employment trends, employment labor relations, recruitment resources and processes, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, state disability regulations, and issues associated with discrimination. (Performs approximately 5% of day)


Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Attend all relevant staff meetings; provide assistance in the improvement of human resources management systems and procedures; demonstrate flexibility and understanding when asked or required to perform other duties as assigned. (Performs approximately 5% of day)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Knowledgeable of the principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, labor relations and personnel information systems
  • Possess skills in working with a computer, including the use of Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
  • Must be fluent in the English language 
  • Be able to establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships among office staff, industry partners, and management
  • Skilled in clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing, data entry, printing, ect. 
  • Possess a high degree of trustworthiness, confidentiality, and respect

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred  
  • 1 year of relevant experience in human resources management, recruitment, sourcing, and/or the pre-employment process 
  • Be able to work and communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, or subordinates; files and records, designing forms, creating systems and processes, and other related office procedures 
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing materials and entering information 
  • Possess strong skills in identifying the qualifications, skills, knowledge and abilities of potential job candidates using an interactive interview process
  • Possess skills in active listening, writing, organization, analytical, problem solving, stress and time management
