The Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) is hiring for a full-time Systems Analyst II who will work to support and maintain the computing resources utilized by MPM. This position supports MPM across all departments to help users in troubleshooting and maintaining technological resources to continue MPM’s mission to inspire curiosity, excite minds, and increase desire to preserve and protect our world’s natural and cultural diversity through exhibitions, educational programming, collections and research. In this role you will be installing, maintaining, inventorying, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring the hardware and software utilized by MPM. You will also be assisting users of varying levels of technical know-how. 

 

In this role you will: 

  • Install, maintain, inventory, troubleshoot, repair and monitor the performance of desktop hardware and software used in all business, creative, research, education, and exhibit divisions 
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the performance of server hardware and business information systems such as e-mail, accounting, POS, ticketing, retail operations, website, and Citrix 
  • Administer and support Google Apps for Business and M365 portal 
  • Assist staff of all departments with troubleshooting and use of various hardware and software 

 

You will be successful in this role if you: 

  • Have 3-5 years experience as a desktop or systems administrator 
  • Have experience working with Office365, SharePoint, Teams, Azure, and Outlook 
  • Have experience networking 
  • Are willing to commit to the mission and values of a non-profit organization 
  • Posses a genuine interest in working towards a common goal to advance sustainability, inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in all of our work 
  • Would excel in assisting and working with users of all levels of technological ability as well as working independently 
  • Work well in a small department with the opportunity to work on all aspects of tech utilized throughout the museum
