ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform freight service according to company and government regulations
• Plan and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules
• Work in sequence with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers
• Manage multiple deliveries and process spot requests or quotes
• Help develop new sales strategies to improve and grow business
• Respond to carrier and customer concerns professional during all times of the day and the process of the order
• Maintain positive and productive relationship with carriers and drivers
• Maintain composure to problem solve on issues that occur within the order from quote to delivered
• Identify and contact qualified carriers or drivers for freight services within your expertise
• May need to manage based on the county and have lane knowledge of your carriers
• Negotiate contract and pricing agreements with carriers
• Maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers
• Ensure that freight paperwork is completed and approved before transportation
• Understanding the importance of completing an order and executing it accurately
• Multitask in other trucking programs (DAT Freight analytics and Greenscreen) with ease in a fast-paced environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Logistics knowledge and understanding of Truckload shipping requirements (preferred)
• Effective communication, negotiation, and networking skills
• Phone, email, and face-to-face etiquette
• Creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
