Human Resources Generalist
Signature Retail Services is a leading provider of retail merchandising and fixture installation solutions across the United States. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team.
In this role, you will work directly with the Director of Human Resources and the HR team, supporting HR operations across a multi-state, field-based workforce. This position demands strong Paycom experience, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of confidentiality. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and is comfortable managing a variety of daily tasks and evolving HR projects throughout the year.
You will serve as a key resource for employees and department managers, guiding HR processes while ensuring compliance, professionalism, and a positive employee experience. This is NOT a remote position; you must be able to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week within our corporate office.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an administrator for Paycom, including data accuracy, troubleshooting, reporting, workflows, and system optimization.
- Maintain accurate employee records, job changes, and organizational data within Paycom.
- Assist the Recruiting and HR team in maintaining accuracy with full-cycle onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance and a seamless employee experience.
- Assist the Recruiting team as needed, especially during rehires, system errors, or when assistance with the system is required.
- Assist the HR team with coordinating benefit enrollments and qualifying life events and support employees with Paycom benefits-related questions.
- Assist with HR projects like performance management, training initiatives, surveys/pulse surveys, audits, and internal communications.
- Assist the HR team in preparing and maintaining HR reports and metrics (such as turnover, headcount, and compliance tracking).
- Assist the HR team in staying compliant with federal and multi-state employment laws, including necessary postings and documentation.
- Assist the HR team in processing employment verifications, unemployment claims, and medical support orders efficiently and accurately.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, processes, and systems.
- Support employee relations efforts by documenting conversations, escalating concerns, and maintaining consistency in HR procedures.
- Administer Workers Compensation programs, ensuring timely reporting, claims management, and coordination with insurance adjusters and manager.
- Handle various HR projects throughout the year, supporting ongoing improvement and changing business needs.
