Summary
Global Progress Action, an initiative of the Center for American Progress Action Fund, seeks a summer intern to support its programming, policy, and operations priorities during its 10-week summer internship program. The program takes place on-site in Washington, D.C., from Tuesday, May 27, 2025, through Friday, August 1, 2025. Current college and university students and recent graduates of up to six months may be considered for this full-time opportunity. American Progress’ internships are designed to provide hands-on experience, professional development, and an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to progressive policy.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with research projects on key policy areas.
- Draft policy memos, reports, and other materials.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support policy development.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to advance American Progress Action’s strategic priorities.
- Attend, support, and summarize events, briefings, and congressional hearings.
- Support communications and outreach efforts, including social media content creation and email campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Passion for progressive policy issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

American Progress interns are paid at the Washington, D.C., minimum wage rate and receive paid time off for applicable holidays. Candidates from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
