Mat /Reformer Pilates- Fitness Instructor

Who We Are:

The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a New Orleans early childhood education leader, a fun-filled summer day camp, and so much more. It is a place for adults to take an exercise class, an art class, or a dance class. A place for children and teens to experience learning through enrichment classes, sports leagues, family activities, and summer camps. The JCC is built on Jewish values but is welcome to everyone.

The mission of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center is to promote and ensure the well-being of our Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a Center where all can enjoy, learn, experience, and share in quality activities in a Jewish environment.

The JCC is looking for a Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor to join our team! You must be passionate about your craft and willing to work with clients of all fitness levels. Our ideal Pilates instructor will help clients use Pilates to promote overall health, improve muscle tone and strength, and achieve better posture. 

What You'll Do:

• Lead students through sessions that include both standing and seated poses.
• Encourage clients to challenge themselves within the poses, yet to also practice safely.
• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention      
• Monitors and instructs clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use of the equipment            
• Instructs both private and group Pilates classes      
• Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan.      
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Pilates studio.  
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.             
• Educate members on current health and fitness issues and trends.             
• Ensure all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and based services/programming      
• Create comprehensive training programs built around clients' individual needs and goals.
• Provide effective coaching and guidance during classes.
• Maintain member relationships and cultivate referrals.

What You'll Bring:

• Pilates Fitness Certification required.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience teaching group fitness sessions.
• Friendly and outgoing with excellent communication skills.

• Experience working with participants with different ages, skill levels, and varying physical and emotional abilities.
