Role Overview
The Quality Control Processor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of mortgage servicing and loan origination activities. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of mortgage processes, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to leverage technology to streamline quality control reviews. This role involves meticulous examination of loan files, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions to maintain the quality and integrity of the mortgage loan portfolio.
Essential Duties: In addition to related job duties as assigned, this position will:
- Review mortgage servicing documentation, including loan modifications, escrow analyses, and payment histories to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Address any discrepancies in loan documentation and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Ensure that all mortgage loan files adhere to federal, state, and company-specific regulations and guidelines.
- Identify and report any potential compliance issues or deviations from established standards.
- Utilize mortgage servicing software and quality control tools to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with operations teams to enhance quality control testing software and audit throughput.
- Conduct internal audits on mortgage loan files to assess adherence to quality standards.
- Analyze servicing data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Originations and Servicing Operations teams to address and rectify discrepancies.
- Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about changes in mortgage industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff to enhance overall quality control awareness.
