Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Hotel Restaurant General Manager to join the team.

Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. About the Position: In the General Manager role, you will be responsible for the daily operations and financial success of the property by optimizing profits and increasing sales.

About You: You are passionate, energetic and to whom pleasing and impressing guests comes naturally.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage all areas of operation for the restaurant within the front of the house while ensuring standards of quality and service are met
  • Development of Lawn management team to ensure alignment with CHI’s cultural, qualitative, and financial goals. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to plan and implement annual recruiting strategy aligned with department hiring goals.
  • Responsible for administering effective training programs for Lawn line level staff to ensure proficiency, efficiency, and adherence to Forbes & CHI standards
  • Effectively control payroll within establish budgetary guidelines
  • Identify and effectively communicate R&M issues with facilities team.
  • Execute miscellaneous administrative functions to ensure successful execution of business demands
  • Responsible for planning, organization, and overall execution of Lawn Restaurant private dining.
  • Ensure a safe environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents for employees and guests
  • Create and maintain relationships with CHI & NRG frequent guests to promote long-term traditions and personalized service
  • Directs programs and energies with regards to guest feedback management including personal responses to guests and ensuring corrective actions where applicable
  • Coaching and discipline for Lawn employees to ensure standards and growth goals are met

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation $80,000-$90,000/Year

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed

  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
