Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Night Auditor to join the team.

Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. About the Position: The Night Auditor is responsible for the accuracy of all Castle Hill paperwork generated by the Restaurant, Hotel and Catering Point of Sale Systems. This will be an overnight shift position: 3pm-11pm. 

About You: You have a passion for hospitality and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Essential Duties

  • Ensures POS system closes every night
  • Reviews closing manager’s audit, and ensures all information is included
  • Assists in balancing dining room charges, and ensures all charges are posted to the correct guests’ room folio
  • Assists in the check in/check out process for guests
  • Answers phones, and assists in taking reservations
  • Monitors Hotelier to ensure room inventory is not oversold
  • Reconciles dining room charges, gift cards, spa, telephone and ensures packages have allocated appropriately
  • Reviews folio balances and ensures all guest rooms have the proper credit limit
  • Reconciles catering revenue
  • Reviews various reservation and in-house guest reports to check for room rates, market segments, availability, no shows, dupe reservations, cancelled reservations packages, routing instructions and credit limits
  • Ensures all system ledgers are in balance
  • Reviews audit reports for accuracy
  • Ensures all adjustments have an accurate explanation and are posted correctly
  • Balances and transmits credit cards daily
  • Ensures a deposit slip has been filled out for cash/check transactions and copies of all checks are made
  • Ensures all paperwork is sent to Corporate
  • Maintains the Relais & Chateau standard at all times, with guests and co-workers
  • Effectively communicates with all departments
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the hotel are in good conditions and or provide with feedback to Rooms manager
  • Ensures any Engineering issues are reported to Operations manager and follow-up

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school
  • Must have a flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed - Friday and Saturday nights preferred. 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Highly analytical

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and POS systems
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required
