What will you bring to the table?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human service field. Master’s degree preferred. Bilingual Preferred
License/certifications: ASIST certification preferred. SAMHSA SOAR certification preferred.
Experience: Experience with at-risk clientele and crisis work. At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health and case management preferred
Job Specific Competencies:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective counseling skills
- Diagnostic interviewing skills
- Clinical case presentation ability
- Ability to provide clinical services to clients with a variety of psychiatric and substance use disorders
- Knowledge of service area referral options
What are the other requirements?
- Participate in community meetings.
- Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision
- Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor
- Assure client linkage to community resource.
- Maintain a positive professional working relationship with co-workers, agencies and other stakeholders
- Promote and maintain client rights, assure client choice
- Assist clients in maintaining public entitlements.
- Participate in outreach events (i.e. resource fairs/events) to promote program services and expand network.
- Remain informed about AID services in order to provide appropriate referrals.
- Participate in agency committees as assigned
- Provide outreach services to clients who are unable or unwilling to engage in office-based services
