Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA) creates brighter futures for children in crisis by promoting individual success and healthy relationships in a safe, healing environment, giving children and families the tools to end the cycle of abuse. RMYA provides treatment programs for traumatized children who most often are victims of sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse. RMYA supports using trauma-informed techniques and relationship-based approaches to create a safe environment that provides consistency, structure, and caring for the children we serve.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Intern will be responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy as well as maintaining a caseload as required. The clinical intern will conduct assessments and is responsible for the development, implementation, and review of therapeutic treatment plans for all clients under the oversight of a site supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Implement therapeutic treatment interventions as assigned and under supervision.
2. Oversee and monitor the completion of all treatment/service plans as assigned by site supervisor.
3. Work directly with the assigned site supervisor and senior clinical staff.
4. Provide quality therapeutic interventions, follow-up with referral sources, aftercare, and discharge planning, and that clinical staff are in compliance with RMYA policies and procedures.
5. Provide on-going counseling, case consultations as assigned by site supervisor.
6. Maintain therapeutic services within RMYA, licensing, and funding source guidelines.
7. Prepare and monitor treatment plans, service plans, and progress reports as assigned by site supervisor.
8. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of client documentation.
9. Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by RMYA and the professional code of ethics for your license.
10. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of client and program operations.
11. Represent RMYA in a professional manner.
12. Be supportive of all RMYA policies and procedures.
