Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for delivering outstanding financial analysis in support of strategic pricing and business decisions. The individual in this role will work closely with other members of the FP&A Team, as well as with Sales, Operations, Accounting and the CFO. This is an opportunity to exercise analytical skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and to take a lead role driving improved financial performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, technically proficient, team oriented, and well prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Pricing/Costing Create sophisticated financial models to accurately cost new and current products, and collaborate with partners in Sales to improve overall sales and profitability outcomes
- Analysis and Profit Improvement Segment business data, build system reports and ad hoc financial models to conduct insightful analysis and actionable profit improvement plans
- Process Improvements Identify opportunities and develop process improvements to improve team efficiency, model accuracy, or financial performance
- Budget Support the development of the annual budget: plan and develop budget templates, build budgets with cross-functional teams, and craft robust analyses for board and company-wide reporting
- Reporting Work with multiple systems to compile reliable data and insights on business performance
- Ad Hoc Analysis Serve as an analytical resource on strategic projects throughout the year
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including financial analysis, pricing, reporting and budgeting
- Prior experience in manufacturing and/or in the food industry is a plus
- Sophisticated Excel user and strong aptitude for modeling, reporting & analytics. Preference for SQL experience
- Outstanding learning agility, consistently building and applying new skill sets as situations require
- Good interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
- Bachelors degree with business related concentration, finance or accounting preferred
- Financial and business acumen
