Description

We are hiring for the following schedules:

First Shift:

Su-Th, 10:30am to 7:00pm

Second Shift:

Su-Th, 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Su-Th, 6:30pm to 3:00am

Third Shift

Su-Th, 10:30pm to 7:00am

M-Fr, 2:30am to 11:00am 

Kettle Operators are responsible to produce sauces in open kettles and carefully monitor every batch to deliver best quality products.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Operate various cooking equipment – ovens, kettles, dishwasher, pumps, etc.
  • Verify correct ingredients and measure and/or weigh ingredients.
  • Place products on trays and have it ready for cooking.
  • Scoop/ fill products into kettle and place designated ingredients into kettle; monitor time and temperatures throughout the process.
  • Scoop/ remove all cooked products out of the kettle after cooking.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment/ work area after each use.
  • Gather veggie carts together.
  • Fill containers with hot stock.
  • Palletize boxes.
  • Run pan wash machine.
  • Utilize pallet jack to move totes and loads.
  • Responsible for communicating pertinent information to Supervisor.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as stated within the policy.
  • Follows all safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
  • Follows all food safety procedures.
  • Follows all environmental protocols as applicable.
  • Follows all sanitation procedures and work instructions.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma of GED certificate. 
  • Prior manufacturing or food experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Working Conditions And Physical Effort

Work is performed in a plant environment.  Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours equaling 40 hours per week. The work environment involves high cold/hot temperatures, some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require safety precautions.

Lifting Requirement

 Medium Work

Lifting of 50 to 75 pounds maximum with the frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects. Lifting might include over shoulder height in certain situations.

Very Heavy Work (intermittent)

Lifting objects 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Team lift is required for objects weighing over 50 pounds.
