Job Summary
As a Inventory Control Tech I, you are responsible for performing accurate and timely inventory transactions of materials consumed in the manufacturing process such as: perform electronic transactions for issuing/reserving materials to jobs. Process and close manufacturing jobs and record production quantities. Move inventory (physically/electronically). Perform mathematical calculations including; density conversions and ratios. Conduct stock checks, cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory counts as directed. Identify inventory discrepancies, investigate potential causes and recommend corrective action. Reports to Inventory Control Tech III.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform electronic transactions for issuing/reserving materials to jobs, recording production quantities produced, process and close manufacturing jobs.
- Moving inventory (physically/electronically), troubleshooting variances.
- Confirm validity of transactions by checking items, lots and quantities transacted are accurate as shown on manufacturing records.
- Interact will various departments (primarily manufacturing and quality) for collecting data and input for resolving problems in data entry.
- Perform mathematical calculations including; density conversions, ratio.
- Locate and count materials for stock checks, labeling, expiration dating, etc.
- Conducts regular cycle counts based on computer generated count suggestions and participates in periodic physical inventory.
- Identifies inventory discrepancies, investigates potential causes and recommends corrective action.
- Completes all necessary paperwork for inventory transactions tied to jobs produced.
- Checks and maintains accurate inventory labeling.
