Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative and clinical tasks as outlined in the American Association of Medical Assistants Occupational Analysis (AAMA).
- Triage patients, obtain vitals, and document patient information.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Process orders, prescriptions, and authorizations.
- Assist providers with patient information and referrals.
- Perform procedures such as EKGs, ear lavages, and venipuncture.
- Administer medications and immunizations.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations.
- Adhere to all Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and clinic policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a 1-2 year accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification.
- Current Washington State Health Care Assistant certification at levels A, C, and E.
- Knowledge of medication administration, CPT and ICD-9 coding, and billing processes.
- Medical terminology proficiency.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Successful completion of a criminal background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EPIC EHR.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
