Location: Nationwide- open to candidates residing within a reasonable commuting distance of JFK, LGA, EWR, IAD airport.

We are seeking a seasoned Aviation Security professional to lead and oversee regional airport operations, ensuring excellence and optimal performance across all areas of service delivery.

Position Overview

The Regional Director of Airport Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing airport operations across a designated region. This position ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery while driving efficiency and performance across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Oversight: Provide direction and support to airport operations teams, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Performance: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safety, security, and efficiency, meeting organizational and regulatory standards.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring operational goals are achieved.
• Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing teams, promoting professional growth and succession planning.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining the highest safety standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, vendors, and airport authorities.
• Budget Management: Oversee regional budgets, manage costs effectively, and identify opportunities for financial improvement.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in airport or aviation operations, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-location operations. They should excel in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and fostering collaborative environments while ensuring high levels of operational performance.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
• Bachelor’s degree in security or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Within the past five (5) years, must have successful experience managing a major security or screening operation (TSA regulated Title 49 Part 1500 series)
• Demonstrated success with a start-up operation preferred
• AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) or Certified Member (CM) Security Certification required within six months of hire.
  • Current certification at time of hire is preferable
