Software QA Analyst

We are seeking a QA Analyst / Software Tester to establish and lead testing processes for our Savanna.NET® software solutions. This role will focus on validating new features, identifying defects before deployment, and reviewing the quality of software releases to ensure smooth and reliable deployments. This is a foundational role in our QA efforts, offering the opportunity to build best practices and influence the long-term quality strategy of our software.

 

 

 Job Functions:

  • Establish and execute manual and automated testing strategies for software releases.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Review software deployments to ensure proper implementation and adherence to release procedures.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and software support to ensure defects are identified, documented, and resolved efficiently.
  • Perform regression testing on software updates to ensure existing functionality remains stable.
  • Simulate real-world warehouse operations to validate system behavior under various conditions.
  • Analyze and report on test results, identifying trends and areas for improvement in software quality.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, standards, and best practices.
  • Advocate for the customer experience by identifying potential usability or workflow issues before release.
  • Assist in troubleshooting post-deployment issues to determine root causes and prevent recurrence. Availability to travel to customer sites for diagnosing exceptionally complex issues. Expected travel: 0 – 6 weeks annually.

Qualifications

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed bug reports and communicate defects effectively to development teams.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments is preferred.
  • Experience with test automation tools is a plus.

 

Desired Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience testing enterprise software, WMS, or warehouse automation systems is a plus.
