Simulation Engineer

Overview: 
Westfalia Technologies, a leader in providing integrated logistics solutions, is seeking a Simulation Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for advancing our simulation tools to enhance operational planning and design visualization within our logistic solution offerings. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills combined with expert-level knowledge in data analysis, simulation, and visualization technologies.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop advanced simulation tools to evaluate proposed warehouse designs, ensuring seamless integration with Westfalia’s strategic design initiatives.
• Enhance visualization capabilities to deliver compelling, detailed presentations of warehouse layouts and operational efficiencies to potential clients.
• Conduct and present sophisticated data analysis to derive actionable insights, guiding design improvements and optimizing warehouse functionality.
• Tailor simulation and visualization tools to meet specific client needs and sales objectives, enhancing the clarity and impact of design proposals.
• Program robust software solutions to accurately simulate warehouse operations and design scenarios, supporting reliable and persuasive sales presentations.
• Collaborate effectively with the sales and warehouse design teams to ensure technical solutions align with overarching sales strategies and client expectations.
• Lead and manage internal projects within the sales department to develop, refine, and deploy tools that improve the visualization and understanding of proposed warehouse designs during client engagements.
• Availability to travel to customer sites for presentations and site assessments. Expected travel: 0 – 6 weeks annually.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proficiency in simulation software, (Demo3D, FlexSIM, or similar platforms)
• At least 2 years of professional support experience or similar experience
• Familiarity within a warehousing setting is a plus
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is a plus
