Site Superintendent

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Site Superintendent to join our Project Operations team. The Site Superintendent is responsible for the overall condition of the job site and product installation, including duties outlined in the Site Procedures document. We are looking for someone with Experience in the Material Handling business (such as pallet conveyors, case conveyors, gravity flow conveyors, storage rack systems, PLC controls, Warehouse Management Software, and installations).

 

 Job Functions:

  • Travel to the job site and manage both opening and closing procedures.
  • Oversee all job site activities, coordinating with Westfalia Technologies' team members, subcontractors, and the customer’s team. Report progress and punch list updates to key stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate installation planning and execution on-site.
  • Assist in selecting installation subcontractors.
  • Approve subcontractor timesheets and manage any subcontractor change orders.
  • Provide daily written updates on installation status, along with two-week lookahead reports.
  • Maintain a daily log of all subcontractors and employees on-site.
  • Ensure job site compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA, Westfalia, and customer requirements, while conducting and documenting daily site safety meetings.
  • Professionally represent Westfalia Technologies in all interactions with the customer’s team.
  • Review all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and ensure parts are properly distributed.
  • Lead and manage field revisions and drawing mark-ups.
  • Understand Westfalia’s Quality Management System, ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are known and followed by all employees and subcontractors on-site.
  • Verify the installation by conducting quality checks throughout and upon completion of the installation process.
  • Identify and resolve any installation issues or non-conformances.
  • Approve each phase of equipment installation within Westfalia's scope.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Experience in the material handling industry (e.g., pallet conveyors, case conveyors, gravity flow conveyors, storage rack systems, PLC controls, Warehouse Management Software, and installations) and/or building construction.
  • Proven experience in supervising, staffing, and managing teams.
  • Expertise in tracking budget expenses, self-development, and project planning.
  • Strong understanding of installation drawings and tolerances.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with transit use.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 75%+ of the time (typically 10–21 days away per trip).
