The Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting our legal and leasing operations. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing retail lease agreements, amendments, and related documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail lease structures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise retail lease documents, including LOIs, leases, amendments, assignments, estoppels, and SNDA agreements
- Maintain and manage lease tracking systems and legal databases
- Coordinate with leasing, property management, and legal teams to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Assist in the due diligence process for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
- Monitor critical lease dates and ensure timely action (renewals, options, rent commencement, etc.)
- Prepare lease abstracts and summaries for internal stakeholders
- Communicate with tenants, brokers, and outside counsel as needed
- Research and interpret lease clauses, legal statutes, and case law when necessary
- Ensure all executed lease documents are properly filed and recorded
