Description

The Corporate Director of Finance oversees all financial operations for Performance Hospitality’s three managed and four owned hotels, along with the joint venture / partnership and corporate entities within the InSite Group in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s financial health by supporting strategic decision-making, managing risks, and leading the finance team to support growth and compliance.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all accounting functions are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with financial policies and standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights that drive strategic initiatives and support business growth.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting to anticipate financial performance.
  • Monitor budget adherence and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to safeguard the organization’s assets.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate financial risk.
  •  Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  •  Prepare for and coordinate audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to auditors.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and financial stability.
  • Develop strategies for optimizing working capital and managing receivables and payables.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the performance of hotels and partnerships, providing actionable insights.
  • Present financial reports and key metrics to the board and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. The requirements are general accounting management skills. Advanced degree preferred, CPA if possible but not required.
  • Experience:  8 to 15 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, including at least 5 years in managerial positions with increasing responsibilities, encompassing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting, ideally within the hospitality or the real estate industries.

  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Dataplus), as well as advanced Excel skills.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in preparing budgets and financial forecasts to guide business decisions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the accounting field.
  • Must possess a strategic mindset with a knack for analyzing situations and making sound decisions.
